The story (why this exists)
There's a taco truck here in Merced I loved. I went almost every week, same order every time. Then they rotated spots a few times, and I couldn't find them. I checked Instagram, checked Google Maps, drove to their usual corners. After a few wasted trips I just started eating somewhere else.
Here's the part that stuck with me: they never knew. Nobody calls a truck to say "I couldn't find you, so I gave up." A regular worth real money every year just quietly disappears, and on your end it only looks like a slow week.
I built BiteRoutes so that never happens again.
What I'm doing now
I want every food truck, cart and pop-up in Merced on the map.
Literally, so you can find them tonight. And the other way too, so Merced gets on the map for the food it already has.
What it does (for your truck)
- Your regulars follow your truck in the app, free.
- When you open, you check in once. Takes a few seconds.
- Everyone who follows you gets pinged with your exact spot, right then. Not "maybe the algorithm shows it to 5% of them." All of them.
- Customers can also see your menu and order ahead if you want that on. Your money goes to you.
That's it. It replaces posting your location to three different apps and hoping people see it.
